about tin pig

Greetings and welcome to my sty,

I have been making banjos and ukuleles with old tins, boxes, wood, metal, cutlery and various other salvaged bits of things at my house in Wellington, New Zealand for the last couple of years.

Each one of my instruments is completely unique with its own distinctive sound and charming character. Every instrument has been imagined and then carefully hand crafted with the highest attention to detail to create a piece of art that sounds as good as it looks. All instruments also have a piezo electric pickup so you can plug into your amp to make some nice, loud noises.

Please take a look at my creations. If you like them and would like to have one all for yourself, or as a gift for a special loved one, then please visit my contact page and let me know. I'm always happy to answer any questions about my products and I will gladly discuss furnishing you with a custom made piece.

All instruments are made using sustainably sourced wood, re-used biscuit tins and a generous clump of love and care.

If you have a biscuit tin, cigar box, oil can, liquor box or some other vessel that means something to you and you would like me to turn it into a bespoke musical instrument then please get in touch.

Thanks my friends,

Tin Pig
